SoCal Chapter Volunteers at the Downtown Women’s Center

The Southern California Chapter’s volunteer charity for 2015 is Downtown Women’s Center. The Center provides support to end homelessness through offering housing programs, personalized case management, on-site medical health clinic and public health outreach, health workshops and screenings, safe warm drop-in day center offering meals, education, computer literacy and employment assistance for homeless women.

On July 16 members of the PLUS Southern California chapter hosted a volunteer event at the Downtown Women’s Center, where chapter members prepared a meal for 150 women at the center and sorted donations.

Southeast Chapter Volunteers and Networks in Nashville

The PLUS Southeast Chapter’s volunteer charity for 2015 is Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee. The organization distributes food and personal care products to men, women and children throughout 46-county service area.

On October 8th, volunteers from the SE Chapter donated their time and labors to the Second Harvest Food Bank, helping to sort and pack over 10,000 pound of food for more than 7,800 meals! Following the volunteer event was a networking reception at Butchertown Hall. By the looks of it everyone had a terrific time!
