The Midwest Chapter held its annual golf outing at Cog Hill Golf Club. Seventy-nine golfers participated on a gorgeous day for golf.
This week’s Fall Through the Cracks Friday is a unique journalistic approach to showing the state of the city of Detroit (a city that this PLUS blogger really loves).
Certainly much has been made over the years of Detroit’s decline. From plans to reduce the overall size of the city to its well-documented decline (even in the U.K.), most folks are aware of the dire state of Detroit.
In this week’s featured video, a Pulitzer Prize winning author and media personality approaches the story of Detroit from a different angle – by golfing the entire length of the city. What follows is a tragic, heart warming, funny, and scathing look at this once proud city. Plus, it is likely the longest golf hole you’ll ever see – par 3,168.
This past Monday, July 16, the Eastern Chapter hosted its annual golf outing to benefit the PLUS Foundation. The sold out event took place at Echo Lake Country Club in Westfield, NJ. From the photos we received (and shared, below) it was a warm one with a high in the 90s but a lot of fun had by the attendees.
Thanks to all who golfed in this great event!
Note: if you have additional photos from this event please send them our way and we will get them added to this gallery.
