The PLUS Texas Chapter members Chris Noble, Whitney Myers, Marc Galindo and Robby Moore presented a $1,000 PLUS Foundation Chapter Charity check to Fairways for Warriors prior to the Thursday, April 21st, Texas Fairways for Warrior’s Scramble Golf Tournament at The Bandit Golf Club in New Braunfels, Texas.  In addition, several PLUS members volunteered checking in golfers, selling Mulligans and working a closest to the pin event.  After a morning of soaking thunder showers the skies cleared and golfers enjoyed a beautiful day in the Texas Hill Country.

Fairways for Warriors provides golf and golf instruction for wounded personnel, ranging from beginners to those with prior golf experience, who are adapting their skills to their new abilities. Fairways for Warriors desires to help combat wounded warriors, anyone who has served in combat, to overcome the obstacles associated with their military service-related disabilities. The relearning of the fine motor skills required for golf can be effective in the overall rehabilitation of the disabled. The organization is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity and is dependent on tax-deductible financial donations and the help of numerous volunteers to meet the educational, training, and equipment needs of the participants.
