Mid-Atlantic Chapter Supports Philabundance

On September 20 the PLUS Mid-Atlantic Chapter held a volunteer effort at Philabundance, an organization providing emergency food and hunger relief, as well as long-term strategies to strengthen the hunger safety net for families, women, children and seniors in the Delaware Valley.

The charity was very appreciative of the $1,000 check as well as our volunteers efforts. A local orchard donated over 8,000 lbs. of fresh apples, which 30 chapter volunteers sorted, trimmed and boxed for distribution for those in need in the greater Philadelphia area.

Thanks to everyone who participated in this great event.
