On October 3, 2017, the PLUS Foundation held a Women’s Leadership Network luncheon at the Yale Club in New York. The event sold out ahead of time once again, due in large part to the featured speaker, Robin Wright. Ms. Wright is a war correspondent, who has reported for the Washington Post, the New York Times and New Yorker Magazine, among others. Ms. Wright shared with the audience many stories of her years as a correspondent from some of the most dangerous places in the world, as well as her personal experiences meeting and interviewing leaders of government, factions of conflict and terrorist insurgents. While the subject matter of the program was serious, Ms. Wright was also humorous, and shared a lot of slides to put much of her stories in context. The luncheon was extremely well-received, and was another great program in the series of Women’s Leadership Network events.
