On Wednesday, September 26, the PLUS North Central Chapter gifted a grant to the Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans through the PLUS Foundation’s Chapter Charity Grant Program. Erin Singmaster, RPLU+ and PLUS North Central Chapter Chair, and Lynnea Prusanky, a member of PLUS, presented a check for $2,500 to Neal Loidolt, the president of Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans, and Brian Peterson, CFO.
The Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans offers emergency assistance with mortgage, rent, utilities, transportation, food, employment and legal help for veterans to fill the gap for services not already provided through Federal, state, or county programs. They also have 12 transitional homes for veterans as they receive medical care, chemical dependence treatment, or jobs skills training, and 24 units of permanent housing. This grant will help them continue to serve veterans across the state.
