The Northern California Chapter participated in their annual charity drive this past Monday, October 15 at Project Open Hand.  Through their efforts, they were able to prep 600 pounds (1200 servings) of chicken and 3 cases of potatoes to help provide 2,500 meals to the chronically ill and elderly in San Francisco, California.

At this event, members of the Northern California Chapter presented a check for one thousand dollars to Project Open Hand through the PLUS Foundation. Project Open Hand has been providing nutritious meals to the critically ill and elderly of California since 1985. With the help of volunteers such as PLUS members, they prepare 2,500 meals and 200 bags of groceries every day.

Thank you to the Northern California Chapter and to the volunteers who participated in this charity drive!
