NW Chapter Hosts Workplace Violence Workshop, Presents Chapter Charity Check

On December 7 the PLUS Northwest Chapter, in conjunction with Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of King County, hosted a Workplace Violence workshop at the Washington Athletic Club in Seattle. Almost 50 people participated in the timely discussion and afterwards enjoyed a holiday reception with drinks and hors d’oeuvres.

In addition to the workshop, The PLUS Northwest Chapter presented a $5,000 check to their 2016 Chapter Charity, Project Access NW. The charity provides access to essential medical and dental care for low income, uninsured and Medicaid enrollees, with nearly 1,300 healthcare providers donating their professional skills to help people regain healthy productive lives.

Southwest Chapter Supports Not MY Kid

The PLUS Southwest Chapter, as part of the 2016 PLUS Foundation Chapter Charity program, recently donated $2,500 to Not_MY_Kid, a charity that empowers and educates youth, families and communities with the knowledge and courage to identify and prevent negative youth behavior. Not MY Kid’s prevention education programs have educated and empowered more than a million youth in areas of substance abuse, bullying, unhealthy relationships, eating disorders, depression/self-injury and internet safety.

The PLUS Southwest Chapter splits its $5,000 Chapter Charity grant between Arizona and Colorado. This $2,500 grant is the Arizona share for 2016.
