University of North Texas Gamma Iota Sigma Chapter Hosts 43rd Annual International Conference

One of PLUS’ organizational goals is to identify and attract the next generation to insurance and professional liability. To that end, PLUS is a strong supporter of Gamma Iota Sigma and has been a sponsor of its annual conference for the past four years. The release below was sent our way from PLUS member Debra Richardson, highlighting the 2014 GIS Conference and the University of North Texas’ involvement.

Gamma Iota Sigma presented the 43rd Annual International Conference, “Industry Legends: Past, Present, and Future,” October 2-4, 2014 in Dallas, Texas. Co-hosted by Beta Zeta Chapter of the University of North Texas, it was the most successful conference yet, bringing together 460 students and advisors from 46 colleges and universities throughout North America, and over 200 industry representatives. This year witnessed a 20% increase in the number of schools participating, and Gamma Iota Sigma was pleased to welcome several that are in various stages of the application process to become new chapters or in the process of reactivating.
