Thanks for a great #PLUS2019!

All too quickly we find ourselves at the last day of the 2019 PLUS Conference! It’s been a great two days and we’re finishing out this year’s Conference strong with a Founders Roundtable over breakfast this morning. Listen to a panel of leaders discuss challenges they faced starting insurance businesses, how they overcame these challenges, and their views on challenges facing founder today. It’s sure to be an educational and insightful discussion for all attendees. There’s a final education session today on management and professional liability insurance, as well as a few final TechBytes in the Connections lounge.

A sincere thank you to each and every person who attended Conference this year. We work tirelessly to make these event the best they can possibly be, and you make all the effort worth it. We hope you made new connections, learned something new, and enjoyed yourself at Conference this year. Have a safe journey home, and we can’t wait to see you next year in Orlando, Florida for PLUS Conference 2020!

#PLUS2019 Continues with Thought-Provoking Education

Thank you to everyone who was able to attend the PLUS Foundation Luncheon. It was wonderful to hear from Former First Lady Laura Bush! We’re happy to support the PLUS Foundation and the Women’s Leadership Network with speakers who bring powerful life experience to our attendees.

There are more education sessions happening throughout the afternoon as our speakers continue to examine and discuss the crucial topics and trends in today’s professional liability industry. From current EPL topics, to an in depth review of Intellectual Property Risk Management, to the dilemma of underwriting cannabis risks, there’s and education session tailored to your interests.

We invite all attendees to join us for a special session from Julio A. Portalatin, the Vice Chair of Marsh & McLennan Companies. Julio will be speaking on the intersection of diversity and automation, and how the benefits of an inclusive information interacts with the interface between human diversity and technology. This will be an excellent session from an important thought leader in the industry.

Education and Charity at #PLUS2019

The second day of #PLUS2019 is off to a great start. The first education sessions of the day are in Potomac C and D: a mock-trial exploring cyber liability and the war exclusion, and a discussion panel on Side and event driven litigation within the D&O industry. We’ll have education sessions throughout the day today, many offering CE and CLE credits—check your agenda and make sure to get your paperwork stamped on the way into the session!

Did you get chance to try the Virtual Reality game at the Reception last night? If you didn’t, or you did and want to show off your skills, we’ll have the VR game set up in the Connections Lounge today. Come check it out and impress your colleagues! TechBytes are also happening all day today, giving you a leg up on tech knowledge in between education and networking.

Want to help out a good cause during your down time? Each year we offer attendees the opportunity to give back to the community where the Conference is held, and this year—in honor of Veteran’s Day—you can support the people serving in the military by volunteering with the local USO. Stop by Maryland Ballrooms 2 and 3 to help us prepare care packages and messages for deploying troops. Everyone is welcome to participate!

Finally, this afternoon is the PLUS Foundation Luncheon where you will hear from Former First Lady Laura Bush. This is a wonderful opportunity to hear her speak on her experiences and influential life. We’re looking forward to hearing from her.
