Great Day for Golf in Northern California

The PLUS Northern California Chapter held its annual golf tournament benefiting the PLUS Foundation on Friday, August 18. Forty-three industry professionals came out for a day of fun int he sun, and more than $2,600 was raised for the PLUS Foundation.

Chapter chair Geoffrey Anello shared this about the event:

Early morning clouds lead to sunshine, nature, and fun at the Annual PLUS Charity Golf Tournament that was held at the Metropolitan Golf Links on Friday, August 18th.

While golf balls were flying every which way (mostly towards the greens, but not always), we had some furry tailed friends join us and enjoy the warm weather near one of the front nine tees.  These foxes seemed perfectly at home with the golfers all around, and indeed the players and supporters of this event eventually convened afterwards for a BBQ lunch, raffle, and prize announcements for the winning foursomes, the longest drives and closest to the pin contests.  Although not everyone left with a prize, everyone left smiling after a great day of golfing and charity, and talk about next year’s tournament were already passing the lips of those who attended…

We look forward to another successful charity event next year at the Metropolitan Golf Links! Thanks to all that made this day a resounding success, raising more than $2,600 for the PLUS Foundation. Our Chapter Charity grant is supporting the SF Marin Food Bank.

Special thanks to our golf event chairs in Northern California… Rob Lockwood, Andrew Shalauta, Rob Cutbirth, Ria Justimbaste. Also, thanks to the event sponsors for making this event the success that it was:
