On September 17 the PLUS Southwest Chapter in Colorado supported the 5K Run for the Epilepsy Foundation. In addition to distributing water to the runners the chapter also presented the organization with a $1,000 check from the PLUS Foundation. Thanks to the volunteers for supporting this great cause.
On October 5 the PLUS Southwest Chapter hosted a day-long Employment Law seminar. About 40 people participated in the Scottsdale, AZ event with keynote presentations by Mary Jo O’Neill (Phoenix District Office of EEOC) and Johanna Carrane (JuryScope), plus two outstanding panels which delved deep into the EEOC, NLRB, Discrimination and the world of “Alternative Facts.” Thanks to everyone who made this event a great success!
On September 27 the PLUS Foundation Women’s Leadership Network hosted an event in Denver, featuring Leslie K. Lambert, Chief Security and Strategy Officer at GuruCul Solutions, LLC. Leslie shared her personal story of building a successful career in technology, data analytics and information security, including stories of the changes she saw in technology and how influential people helped to shape her career.
