Zibas headshotJura Zibas will host a Spark Session at the 2017 PLUS Conference called “The Evolution of Risks With 3D Printing.” The session will focus on the use and risks of 3D printing, and will also discuss intellectual property, software and IoT through an interactive case study.

Zibas said the session will teach attendees the importance of  evaluating the risks of 3D technology and using those evaluations as a guide when looking at coverage, claims and underwriting.

One of the challenges with technology is staying ahead of the curve in knowing what’s coming next, Zibas said, especially because the laws don’t always keep up with the rapidly evolving pace of technology.

” I have a case involving search engine optimization.  By the time we finished discovery and a motion to dismiss is filed, several years have passed and the information about search engine optimization we learned was outdated,” Zibas said.

The Spark Session will be helpful for anyone who works with technology, and eye-opening for those who don’t, and may take technology for granted.

“We are in a high paced growth phase where everything has the label SMART, so we everyone needs to understand what risks exist today and what to think about for the future,” Zibas said.
