Last Thursday, August 22, the Southern California Chapter helped charity Lava Mae by assembling hygiene kits. Members donated various items, such as socks and razors, and volunteers were able to assemble over 200 hygiene kits. Lava Mae began by converting public transportation buses into showers and toilets on wheels, to deliver hygiene and rekindle dignity for our un-housed neighbors. They also have one-stop Pop-Up Care Villages to dramatically expand access to essential services for people living on the streets. Thank you to the Chapter, the PLUS Foundation, and the volunteers for supporting this wonderful cause!

On Thursday, June 20, the Southern California Chapter presented a check to For Goodness Cakes, an organization that "matches volunteers to make and hand-deliver birthday cakes to foster children and at-risk youth on their special day." The PLUS Foundation grant for $2,500 will help this organization continue bringing light into children's lives. The Chapter also collected socks & razors for Lava Mae, an organization that supports homeless individuals in California. They will be assembling hygiene kits withe donations later this month. Thank you to the Chapter and to the PLUS Foundation for supporting these great organizations!
