Women’s Leadership Network Finds Power in Words in New York

On Thursday, October 3, the PLUS Foundation and the Eastern Chapter hosted a Women's Leadership Network Luncheon in New York. 235 people enjoyed networking and lunch, and were able to learn from guest speaker Sarah Hurwitz. Hurwitz served as the chief speechwriter for First Lady Michelle Obama from 2010 to 2017, as well as a senior speechwriter for President Obama, chief speechwriter for then-Senator Hillary Clinton during her 2008 presidential campaign, and a speechwriter for candidates in the 2004 presidential campaign cycle and for a U.S. Senator. Last Thursday, September 26, was the Women's Leadership Network luncheon in Toronto. Seventy-five people were inspired by Tammy Heermann, who has developed and facilitated award-winning programs on leadership for over twenty years. Her presentation, titled "You're More Powerful Than You Think," examined the behaviors and beliefs intrinsic to success, and helped attendees reflect on the ways that they hold themselves back while revealing the small changes they can make to yield big results. Women’s Leadership Network Event Inspires in Hartford

This past Thursday, June 20, was the Women's Leadership Network event in Hartford. Over 65 attendees were able to hear from Susan Dobscha, Professor of Marketing at Bentley University. She spoke on her journey through higher education in the traditionally conservative world of business scholarship. Afterwards, attendees enjoyed drinks and hors d'oeuvres while networking with colleagues.
