Women’s Leadership Network Finds Power in Words in New York

On Thursday, October 3, the PLUS Foundation and the Eastern Chapter hosted a Women's Leadership Network Luncheon in New York. 235 people enjoyed networking and lunch, and were able to learn from guest speaker Sarah Hurwitz. Hurwitz served as the chief speechwriter for First Lady Michelle Obama from 2010 to 2017, as well as a senior speechwriter for President Obama, chief speechwriter for then-Senator Hillary Clinton during her 2008 presidential campaign, and a speechwriter for candidates in the 2004 presidential campaign cycle and for a U.S. Senator. She spoke on the power of words and how to find your most authentic [...]

Women’s Leadership Network Has a Powerful Message in Toronto

Last Thursday, September 26, was the Women's Leadership Network luncheon in Toronto. Seventy-five people were inspired by Tammy Heermann, who has developed and facilitated award-winning programs on leadership for over twenty years. Texas Chapter Supports Loaves & Fishes

On Friday, September 20, the Texas Chapter got together for a morning helping at the Loaves & Fishes Community First! Village in Austin. 13 volunteers helped with landscaping, housekeeping, and cleaning the community's chicken coop. The Community First! Village is a development of the Mobile Loaves & Fishes. The mobile kitchen continues to feed the homeless population in and around the city of Austin, while their Community First! Village provides affordable, permanent housing and a supportive community for people coming out of chronic homelessness.
