The Texas Chapter recently gave $2,500 to both of their 2019 Chapter Charities to help support the mission of these local Texas organizations.
Arms Wide finds permanent, adoptive families for children in foster care who have endured abuse, neglect or abandonment with a special focus on older children, minority children, children belonging to sibling groups, and children with physical, mental or emotional disabilities or delays.
“I wanted to send an example of what your donation will help us do,” said Melissa Neely of Arms Wide Adoption Services. “In May, we were able to finalize the adoption of Aaron– just two months before his 18th birthday!”
The other charity that the Chapter supports is Traffick911, an organization that works to free youth from sex trafficking. The Traffick911 team has identified and served over 1,200 victims, and works in partnership with law enforcement to arrest and convict traffickers in multiple states. “We are so grateful for your support,” said Cheryl Brasuell, of the Traffick911 team.
Thank you to the PLUS Foundation and to the Chapter for supporting both of these great causes!
