WLN NYC 1 WLN NYC 2 WLN NYC 4 WLN NYC 5 WLN NYC 6 WLN NYC 7 WLN NYC 8 WLN NYC 9 WLN NYC 10 WLN NYC 11 WLN NYC 12 WLN NYC 13Today I had the opportunity to attend the PLUS Women’s Leadership Network (WLN) event in New York City. This event held at the Yale Club in NYC drew more than 215 professionals from New York City and surrounding areas. I commend the PLUS Eastern Chapter and the PLUS Foundation for putting on such a tremendous event.

This was the second WLN event I have attended in the last month and the second sellout crowd (the first was in Chicago). It was a fabulous event with great networking, an amazing venue, and an inspiring speaker. Michelle Mayes, Vice President and General Counsel with the New York Public Library expounded on the lessons she’s learned in her career and urged the women in attendance to take risk and find mentors and sponsors. Enjoy some of the photos from the event.

Editors Note: In addition to the photos from Robbie we received quite a few great ones from our event photographer as well. Please see the gallery below.

(First 100 Days) Cyber Liabilty Conference SOLD OUT!!

Once is a chance, twice is a coincidence, three times in a trend. Over just the last four weeks, three PLUS education or networking events have sold out. First, it was PLUS University, then it was the Women’s Leadership Network in Chicago, and now third its the PLUS Cyber Liability Conference that sold out.

This is the first year that the Cyber Liability Conference has been a standalone conference (it was previously incorporated into another conference), and it already is becoming a must-attend event. The Cyber Liability Conference is being held on Thursday September 17, at the Sheraton in downtown Chicago. This sure to be outstanding conference features five unique and relevant panels, two impressive keynote speakers, and a virtual speaker presentation. This is all done in PLUS’s usual professional manner, with some special added additions. Congratulations to the Conference Chairs for their hard work in coordinating the content for this conference. The Cyber Liability Conference Chairs are –

Lori Nugent

Michael Carr

Jeanine Loomis

Also, a special thank you to all of the sponsors of the Cyber Liability Conference –

(First 100 Days) Survey says – WLN Event was “Fun, facual and fantastic!”

Recently PLUS, in conjunction with the Midwest Chapter and the PLUS Foundation held a Women’s Leadership Network (WLN) event in Chicago. Almost 100 women from the professional liability industry were in attendance at this great event. I was fortunate enough to be in attendance. Another WLN event is scheduled for October 7, in New York City. Here is more information about the New York WLN Event.

Following the Chicago meeting, PLUS surveyed attendees and one of the questions asked attendees to provide a quote about the event.  I wanted to share with you just a few of those responses. As evident from the comments this clearly was a successful event and hopefully will spawn other such event both in this chapter as well as in other parts of the country that have not yet held such an event.

Stimulating conversation for women wanting to advance their careers.
Fun, factual and fantastic!
I was inspired by such a successful group of women who didn’t have to claw their way to the top but rather earned it.

PS Loved the moderator! She kept everyone on track, was funny and clearly a successful woman herself!

The speakers were great and the networking was even better!!
PLUS Women’s Leadership Network Events- Making Women Stronger Together in The Workplace!
It was a diverse group of women in age, experience level and company representation to learn from.
Excellent panel that provided a diverse perspective on industry issues.
