Women’s Leadership Network Finds Power in Words in New York

On Thursday, October 3, the PLUS Foundation and the Eastern Chapter hosted a Women’s Leadership Network Luncheon in New York. 235 people enjoyed networking and lunch, and were able to learn from guest speaker Sarah Hurwitz. Hurwitz served as the chief speechwriter for First Lady Michelle Obama from 2010 to 2017, as well as a senior speechwriter for President Obama, chief speechwriter for then-Senator Hillary Clinton during her 2008 presidential campaign, and a speechwriter for candidates in the 2004 presidential campaign cycle and for a U.S. Senator. She spoke on the power of words and how to find your most authentic and influential voice as a woman leader.

Thank you to the PLUS Foundation and to the Eastern Chapter for hosting this event, and thank you to all the attendees!

Eastern Chapter Supports Monday Night Hospitality

On Monday, July 15 and Monday, July 29, the Eastern Chapter came together to help out Monday Night Hospitality, the 2019 Eastern Chapter Charity. Volunteers served food to homeless, elderly, and low income residents at the “pop up” restaurant run by the organization, which provides hot fresh meals in a dignified style. 30,000 meals are served each year to the community on Monday nights.

Thank you to the Chapter and the volunteers for supporting such a great cause!
